The Steeler Fever Empty The Steeler Fever

The Steelers have gotten off to a horrendous start under their new management. With back-to-back losses to the Falcons and Titans, the "Steel Curtain" has been more like Paper than Steel, allowing 38 points in each game.

After digging themselves into a 31-3 half-time hole on Week 1 vs. Atlanta, the Steelers managed to make it 31-24, only to have their defense fail them again when another stop was needed. However, the blame should have been put on Big Ben, who threw two pick-sixes. Rashard Mendenhall was also ineffective, which caused them to go ahead and trade for CJ Spiller as a change of pace back.

Going into Week 2, the Steelers once couldn't stop their opponent. Coach MrRighTNoW took full responsibility for this one, after inserting rookie CB Crezdon Butler into the starting lineup to cover Percy Harvin. At the end of the day, Harvin single-handedly beat Pittsburgh, while recording over 230 yards receiving. On a bright note, Rashard Mendenhall showed rookie CJ Spiller that this was still his house, rushing for over 150 yards and 3 TDs. The Steelers did take a brief 35-31 lead with a minute left but Harvin once again came up big, along with DeSean Jackson, who made a crazy one-handed catch while playing his last game as a Titan.
