The New England Patriots have made a hand-full of trades during this off-season and the new squad is staring into the eyes of the Cincinnati Bengals to kick off their 2010 season.

Week 1 vs. Bengals:
Newly acquired CB Alphonso Smith showed his new team why he was brought to New England by posting 2 tackles and 2 interceptions. Tom Brady completed 10 out of 15 passes for 223 yards, 2 TDs and 1 interception. Chad Ochocinco lead the team in receiving yards, catching 3 balls for 90 yards. Ocho left the game in the 2nd half, and x-rays later revealed that he had broken ribs. He is listed as out for next weeks game against the Jets, but he is listed as probable for the Patriots Week 3 game when the Buffalo Bills come into town. Danny Woodhead lead the team in rushing in his first ever NFL start, carring the ball 13 times for 59 yards and 1 TD. He also caught 2 passes for 17 yards.
Final Score: Bengals 32 , Patriots 35

Patriots flew into New York expecting a good game, and it was fairly close, considering that the Patriots picked off Mark Sanchez 7 times. Newly acquired LB Ernie Sims accounted for 2 of the picks, in his 2nd game as a Patriot. CB Leigh Bodden also had 2. Pisa Tinoisamoa posted 1 sack to go along with his 6 tackles. Mike Wright also had a sack. Tom Brady did not have to do much work to get his team the win this week. Brady completed only 10 out of 21 passes for a measly 96 yards with 1 TD and 1 Int. Deion Branch led receivers, catching 4 balls for 41 yards. Danny Woodhead got another start at HB, and showed everyone why, by posting 19 carries for 131 yards and 3 TDs.
